One day two old ladies from Central America, which is below the USA, met and started talking about men and their husbands and how they were so foolish and could believe the anything crazy thing you, told them. They talked about which one was more of a fool. One woman would talk then the next. Finally they made a bet. Each lady thought her husband was more foolish than the other. The women who could make her husband do the craziest thing would win. The first women thought hey what if I make my husband believe he is dead. If I do this I will certainly win. So that night when her husband came home she said “Oh, honey you look sick. You should get to bed”. Without thinking he went straight to bed. The next day when he woke up she said “I know you will die soon so don’t go to work and we will spend our time together here.” They talked but all she could think about was I am surly going to win. On the other hand the second woman had a more evil plan. Her husband came from work and she was weaving, a way to make clothing. “What are you making” he said. “Just the nicest clothes for you” she said back. “But there is nothing on the weaving wheel” he replied. “This is the best thread in the entire world; it is invisible until you put it on.” The lady “made” him a whole suit. On the day of the of the first woman’s husband’s funeral the other husband showed up wearing his new suit. No one said anything, not even a sound. Suddenly everybody started laughing. He didn’t know who they were laughing at until he looked down at his new suit. As soon as he looked down he noticed that all he had on was socks, shoes, a hat, and...his underwear. It was so funny even the dead man came up from his coffin and broke out laughing. That was the day the two men found out that not all you see and hear is true!
    The two young ladie's bet

Once there were two girls, Jane and Anne who were waiting for there friends. They were talking about how their friends, Jonelle and Lexi, were really silly and funny. They would also talk about the silliest thing that each of the friends had done. One girl said" Once, my friend bumped into a girl in the cafeteria." The other one said once my friend decided to carry around twenty dollars in her pocket. Then when she went to the locker room she looked in her pocket and her twenty dollars wasn't there. Then she realizes that there is a big hole in her pants pocket." They both laughed at that. Then an idea popped into their heads. They both decided to make a bet to see who could embarrass their friend the most. So the Jane had a sleepover with her friend and the Anne had a sleepover with her friend. At the Jane's sleepover she told her friend that there was going to be a pool party for the whole grade the next day. The friend said that she hadn't heard of a pool party for the grade. The girl said that she would wear a pink swimsuit. So the friend fell for the trick and decided that she should wear her blue swimsuit. There was really supposed to be a school dance the next day. Meanwhile, at the other sleepover the Anne was telling her friend that in two days they were going to be having a day were you could wear all kinds of crazy colors instead of the normal school uniform. The friend fell for it and decided to wear a purple shirt with blue and pink stripes and a red sparkly hat. So as you can imagine the next two days were hilarious to the girls who were tricking their friends and very problematic to the girls who were being deceived. The next night at the dance the Jonelle showed up in a blue bathing suit and water wings on her arms. At the dance the girl was so embarrassed that she ran home and she started to cry. The next day at school, as you can imagine, Lexi showed up wearing her red sparkly hat, and her purple shirt with blue and pink stripes. Everyone laughed at her and she was given a detention for not following the dress code. As Lexi was sitting in detention, she could not believe that her friend tricked her. She was so angry that she decided to get back at Anne. Then she thought of it. She had her cell phone, called Jonelle, and once Lexi told Jonelle what happened, Jonelle told Lexi what Jane did to her. Anyway, Lexi explained her plan to Jonelle and Jonelle loved it. So, Lexi decides to call Anne and Jane and tell them that she and Jonelle were sick. So, "like good friends" they decided to bring them chicken soup. When Jane and Anne got there Lexi and Jonelle jumped out of bed and said "got you". Jane and anne then realized that their trick was very mean to do and they saw how it feels. They apologized to Lexi and Jonelle and they became friends again. The morale of the story is treat others like you would want to be treated.

    ...
There once was a king who worried, worried, and worried. He feared his armies would lose in battle. That his treasury would empty. He thought his ministers were disloyal. He couldn’t be at peace.
After some time he came to wonder “how common people find happiness?” “Do they worry as I?” “I wish I could just be a little bird and listen to what they say.” Then he thought of something. He asked his guards to bring the dirtiest rags they could find. After they delivered the rags he told then to leave. He put on the rags and that night he snuck out of the palace. He walked through the market in disguise, watching the commoners. When night came he passed an old shack. Looking through the window he saw a man sitting an old table eating a loaf of bread, smiling his head off. The king wondered why the poor man was so happy. He knocked on the door. He said "I am a beggar could you spare me some food?” “Of course” he said “come in I don’t have much but what I do have is yours.” The generosity of the poor man surprised the king. “Why are you so happy” asked the king. “It was a god day today” he said “I repair shoes I repaired enough to get some bread.” “What if you don’t earn enough money to get bread tomorrow?” the man replied “Day by day, I have faith. All will be well.” The king thought about these words. He realizes that this man’s faith brings him happiness. “I wonder if he will be happy in times of hardship.” The king thought. The king thought of how to test this man’s faith. The next morning a new law came out that said you cannot repair shoes ”all will be well” The man assured himself. He saw a woman struggling with a bucket of water. He rushed over to help her. She handed him a coin for his work. He came up with an idea he helped carried water all day long. By sunset he could by himself dinner. Wondering if his new friend would be happy without a meal, the king came (disguised as a beggar) came back to the old shack where the man lived. To his surprise he saw the man eating bread and drinking soda. He knocked on the door the man came to the door and immediately the king asked “how you can have bread and soda tonight, with the new law” “I made more helping people carry water than when I repaired shoes” he replied. “What if no one wants you to carry water tomorrow?” again he replied “Day by day, I have faith. All will be well” the king left confused by the man’s faith “he has not had hard time” he thought. Messengers posted a sign on the well. ”It is now illegal to carry water for others. The man thought of what to do when he saw man carrying wood on their backs. “Do you need help?” he asked a woodcutter. “Certainly” the woodcutter replied. The man cut wood all day and by sunset he could by bread, soda and a bit of meat. The king came again as a beggar and saw the fine meal and asked “how did you managed to get this?” “I am a woodcutter now” he said. The king was unhappy with this he grumbled “when he becomes hungry he will lose faith. When the man went to go join the woodcutters he found them surrounded by palace solders. One of them said “all woodcutters are now guards. Go to the palace.” He now in armor and with a sharp sword at his side he stood guard all day. Then he went to the captain of the soldiers to request pay so he could eat. “Guards are paid once a month” the captain said. The man went home, unhappy, he passed a dealer and came up with an idea he sold the metal blade and got enough food for a month knowing he would be able to buy it back at the end of the month. He made a wooden sword to fit the sword holder. The king came back in his rags and asked in amazement “How did you get this food?” “I sold the blade of the sword to buy food for the month and then I will buy it back.” The man replied. “What if have to draw your blade tomorrow?” asked the king again he replied “day by day, I have faith. All will be well”. As he left he thought “I have him now his faith will not be so strong in a cell.” That next day while the man was guarding the palace the captain approached followed by a crowd. The captain was dragging a man said to be a thief. “He has stolen some apples” said the captain “the king ordered you to take him to the dungon. You must him lead him with your sword" The man stood there thinking if I pull my sword I too will be arrested because the proper blade isn’t there. He thought of something he looked at the sky and said “lord if this man is truly guilty give me the strength to serve the king but, if he is innocent turn my sword to wood!” then he drew his sword and it was wood “it’s a miracle!” people said. The man that was accused of being a thief was let free. At that moment the king stepped out of the crowd and asked “do you know me?” “You are the king are you not?” he replied. “I am the beggar that came every night.” said the king “I think you can help me get rid of my worries. It became so the man that had little welth but had great faith was the trusted advisor to the king.
    The Wooden Blade

There was once a king who only had worrisome thoughts, like if his armies would lose, or if he would lose his kingdom. One day he looked at the marketplace and saw all the commoners. He said to himself, “How do they all find happiness, do they not worry?” He though on it for a little longer, then he had an idea. He told his servants to dress up in the clothes of beggars, and wonder the streets to find out. He himself had the royal seamstress make clothes of rag for him.
He walked out of the place; even the guards didn’t notice him. The king freely walked the marketplace all day and watched all the commoners and their actions. When nightfall came, he went to a rundown house, were the man inside was eating a loaf of bread happily. The king knocked on the door and said, “May I please join you for dinner, I am a beggar with no food?” The poor man kindly replied “Certainly” and the poor man rushed him to the table where he fed him bread and water. The king asked “Why are you so happy?” The man replied, “I restore shoes, and today was a good day, I earned my dinner.” The king asked, again “What if you don’t have as good a day tomorrow?” The poor man said, “Day by day, I have faith all will be well.”
The next day the king made a new law, and hung a sign over the market place, which said,” You may not repair shoes; if they break you have to buy new ones.” When the poor man saw the sign he sighed and looked for a job. He ended up asking a wood cutter if he needed help, and the woodcutter said “Certainly” and the poor man worked for him for the rest of the day.
Again the king dressed as a beggar went to the poor man’s house and saw him drinking wine, bread, and cheese. The king nocked and was kindly brought in again. The king ask “How did you get this food, you surly saw the sign in the market place?” The poor man replied, “Yes I did, but I spent the day working as a woodcutter, and it pays well!” The kin g was shocked but had another idea.
The next day, when the poor man went to the woodcutters, he saw the woodcutters flanked by guards, the captain said “All woodcutters are to report to the place to become place guards” So the poor man was put in the line was taken to the place.
So the poor man was put in a stiff uniform, and given a sharp sword. He was told to guard the place gate all day, which he did. When he was told to go home he asked the captain for his pay to buy dinner, the captain replied “Guards are only paid once a month” So the poor man went home, and had an idea. He went down to the pawn shop and sold his new swords blade, which gave him enough money to buy food for a month, when he got paid he could buy it back.
So the poor man set his table with bread and wine and blessed it just before the king dressed as a beggar came, the king knew he couldn’t have earned and money that day, so he asked “How did you earn money today?” The poor man not suspecting it was the king said, “I sold my blade to the pawn shop, and I made this wooden one to put in my sheath tomorrow, I will buy it back in a month when I get my pay” After dinner the king left and chuckled “I have him now”
The next day the captain of the guards brought a man before the poor man and said, “This man is a thief who stole a melon the king has ordered you to behead him. The poor man thought for a second, if he pulled out his blade he would be beheaded too, but he had an idea. He cried out “Oh mighty god on high, if this man is truly guilty give me the strength to serve my kings command, but if he is innocent... Turn my blade to wood! Dramatically he pulled out his blade, and the crowd gasped. The king walked up to him clapping and said “Do you recognize me” The poor man replied “You are the king” The king said “Look closer I am the beggar that came to your house ever night.” The poor man smiled as he recognized his brow. The king said again “You will be poor no longer and will eat dinner with me every night” So the poor man became the kings wise advisor, and ate dinner with him every night.

    The Spirit WifeNaomi J.
In a place far away was a man. This man was upset. He was upset because his young beautiful wife has died and now lives in the Valley of the Dead. The man took an eagle’s feather and colored it with a beautiful red. The man waited till the sun has disappeared into the dark clouds and waited for the moon to rise and shine bright in the sky. When this has happened the man went to his wife’s grave and waited for his wife’s spirit to rise from the grave beneath him. When she had rose he looked at her face and was surprised to find not sadness and frustration but joy and happiness in her face. The spirit wife had said to him,” Do not fear that I am gone. I have only left this life to start a new one” The spirit wife spoke with softness in her voice and said, "The eagle’s feather that you have threaded in my hair is visible in day light. Therefore if you wish to follow me than follow the eagle’s feather." The sun began to rise beneath the sky. The light was brighter and brighter by the minute. Then each minute gave a more distant view of the spirit wife. The last thing that was left of the spirit wife was the eagle’s feather. The feather started to move smoothly through the thin air. The man followed it every corner and every mountain it went over. The man has followed the eagle’s feather for many days. After many days the eagle feather came upon a great canyon. The eagle feather went over the canyon with no problem at all. The man couldn’t get over the canyon for he couldn’t fly or walk on air like the spirit wife. Then a squirrel comes along and says,” I can help you get over this great canyon”. The man wondered how, but he let the squirrel help him. The squirrel got a seed and placed it in a crack in the canyon. The squirrel got on the seed and danced while dancing the squirrel said,” Hush Hush Hoo Hee” After singing and dancing over and over again a sprout grew across the canyon, and with that the man was able to rejoin with his spirit wife. The man and the spirit wife walked and walked. They came upon a lake and the spirit wife went deep down the lake to the deepest part. The man was unable and didn’t know what to do. Then an old wise owl came along willing to help the young man if the man would do him a favor. The favor that he asked of him was to be patient while the owl explained the do’s and don’ts of the medicine he was about ot recieve. The owl blew a magic medicine onto the man’s face which caused him to go into a deep sleep. The owl took the man and flew him under some trees. Then strange owls came down to the lake wear the valley of the dead was located and went down and brought the spirit wife to the surface of the water and to the man whom was sleeping under the tree. She too had fallen into a deep sleep when they had both awaken they realized that there love was stronger than any other. The two travelled for 4 days and on the 4th day reached the Thunder Mountain. At Thunder Mountain there was a river that is near a town called Salt Town. The wife looked at her husband with tired eyes and said,” I am tired. I promise that when I awake we will move on with our journey”. When the wife awoke she had realized that her husband loved her, but didn’t love her enough to wait. With that she said,” I shall die again.” With those final words her body disappeared into thin air. The owl hooted from a high branch, “It’s a shame that you couldn’t wait now your love is gone forever. Now there shall be no journey to the bottom of the lake. No journey over the canyon. There shall be no crying.
    The Spirit - Wife
    By Emily Walker
There was a young married man whose wife was dead an he was feeling very lonely. He went to his wife's grave and got a red bundle of feathers. He waited till night until she appeared and asked her to tie the red bundle to her hair. In the morning, He couldn't see her, but he could see the red feathers and they started on their way to the spirit realm. He went for days and he slept during the night, and walked the whole day. They then came to a chasm, that he couldn't see the bottom of. He saw the bundle walk straight over the gorge and get safely to the other side. He was about to step off when a squirrel yelled , HEY!!! If you go off that cliff you will fall!!! Here let me help!!! Said the squirrel. He got one of the wet seeds from his mouth and planted it in the crack in the wall. He said GROW GROW!!! And the stalk grew until it expanded so much that the man could walk safely over to the other side, Where his wife led him to a lake and went under. He cried that night because he could not go with her. An owl man blew some powder on him and he fell asleep. The owl man carried him to an ant hill and whispered in his ear to wait and not touch her until he took her home. He then flew to the lake and grabbed the man's wife, and set her down next to him. They then got up and she was human again, but he had remembered the owl's words and didn’t touch her, but when she laid down to take a nap, he couldn’t resist and a touched her ankle. She faded away, and he then died of sadness in the same place he had messed up that very night.

When The Blue Jackal Showed his True Colors:
A long time ago in a jungle near a village, there was an ashamed and hungry jackal. He hated being just another jackal. One day he wandered from the pack in search of food, and came to the village. While there he was attacked by a group of hungry and scary dogs. He ran in fear away and into a dyers shop. He jumped into a vat of blue ink and slid down so they couldn't see him. He got out and saw himself in a piece of broken glass. He had turned completely blue. They ran past him because they thought the jackal they were looking for wasn't blue, and in relief he went back to the jungle. A parrot saw him and said, " look at that odd and amazing color of that animal. Who are you? ". The jackal said he was sent to become the new king of the jungle and so he claimed the kingdom for himself. He got to work right away assigning jobs to all the animals. The jaguars served him food, the lions became his closest nobles, but when the jackals came up to be given a job he made them leave because he thought since he was the best of them, they shouldn't have a job only him be the honored one. The mad jackals left and began to plan a tricky little plan. The oldest of them came up with the best plan. He said, " We will go to the place in our pack and howl right in front of him. Then he will show his true colors. We know he is one of us and since he has ignored us he will pay for being so selfish. All of us know we can't resist the urge to howl together as one. ". So they went off to the place. They howled and yelled and as he joined in the animals saw who he really was and banished him from the kingdom. When he tried to join his friends again they banished him as well for being obsessed with control and denying his true nature . In shame he ran away and soon became the spirit of selfishness when he died.
